100 Nights of Rest

In partnership with Rachel Cargle and The Loveland Group, we’re kicking off 100 Nights of Rest. This offering recognizes rest as a form of resistance and its importance in the revolution.

We’re granting 100 free Getaways to those fighting for change who need a space to rest. We support the critical work taking place, and want to offer access to a quiet spot in nature as a resource.

The better we take care of ourselves, the stronger we’ll be as we continue this fight. Give yourself the permission to pause as part of the pursuit for racial justice.

Black Lives Matter. Change is hard fought, and we’re committed to this hard fight. Rest is vital to making this a movement, not just a moment.

We're accepting nominations of Black people working for change, or those fighting for the Black community, who’d benefit from a night of rest. They may be a community organizer, a parent, a healthcare worker, a teacher, an artist, or a friend. If we’re going to make meaningful changes, it will take all of us.

What is Getaway?

Getaway offers escapes to tiny cabins nestled in nature. The cabins provide undistracted time that allow our guests to slow down from their busy routines, disconnect from work and technology, reconnect to themselves and each other, and truly rest. Our Outposts are located up to 2 hours outside of major cities and are reserved by night.

When and where can the free night be used?

The recipient can use their night at Getaway whenever they are ready—it never expires. The free night is valid at any of our Outposts.

How does the nominee find out if they receive a free night?

We’ll contact the recipient and the nominator directly and feature in our stories on Instagram.

Is it safe to go on a Getaway during COVID19?

Socially distant by design, Getaway is a private, solitary experience. Additionally, we’ve intensified routine cleaning procedures to ensure cabins are more deeply disinfected. There are no communal spaces or in-person interaction at our Outposts—this means easy self check-in and check-out processes without a front desk, private outdoor and dining areas, and at least 50’-150’ between cabins. Learn more here.

What about transportation?

Getaway will be providing all recipients with a $200 credit to cover transportation and food so they can enjoy a stress free escape.

What is the last day we can nominate someone?

The last day to nominate someone will be September 24, 2020.

No purchase necessary. Getaway will continue to receive nominations until all 100 nights are awarded, but in no event shall submissions be accepted after September 24, 2020. Recipients will be chosen by the Getaway Team and the Loveland Foundation weekly, and will be notified via email. Recipients will receive a one night Getaway at any Getaway Outpost, where standard booking terms apply. All guests staying in the cabin must be 18 years of age or older, unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Getaway will be providing all recipients with a $200 visa e-gift card to cover transportation and food prior to their stay. Only valid for residents of the US. Getaway reserves the right to change the above terms in its sole discretion without prior notice.
